I'm a tourism technician and guide passionate about my profession. Since 2015, I've been dedicated to tourism, especially during the summer. I love rural tourism and nature walks, but I also love the city. Not all cities are as walkable as Montevideo... you can explore it from one end to the other with just a backpack on your shoulder. Go from the coast to the countryside. Walking this city is the best way to get to know it. Every walk, every visit is a unique opportunity for enjoyment and learning. I want you to take home a beautiful memory of Montevideo, its history, its coast, and its landscapes.

Description

A walk with a local soul

Enjoy a unique experience on a tour that will take you from the historic heart of the city to the beaches of the Uruguayan capital.

We begin at Plaza Matriz in the Old City to uncover the origins of Montevideo and the stories preserved within its walls during the colonial era.

We'll walk along the Sarandí Pedestrian Street, where history and modernity intertwine and today begins to make sense.
In Independence Square, we will discuss the New City and the transition from a fortified Montevideo to today's metropolis.

But we don't stop there! In true local style, we'll take a public bus* to the famous Rambla in the Pocitos neighborhood, where one of the city's most famous white-sand beaches is located.

Pocitos is one of Montevideo's most modern neighborhoods, with a spectacular promenade that follows the silhouette of the Río de la Plata and is home to the beach of the same name. There you can enjoy spectacular views, take incredible photos, and, if you wish, stay and enjoy the beach and take a dip.

More than a tour, an immersion in Montevideo life!

*The tour does not include the cost of the round-trip bus ticket from the beach USD 3.10 total
