Now in San Juan, Argentina, while studying to become a Sommelier, I’ve teamed up with a tourism student friend Belén, to create the city’s first Free Walking Tour and share its history and essence

Pickup

We'll meet at the main entrance of the Bicentenario Theater. So you can easily recognize us, my companion will be wearing a red jacket or windbreaker, and I'll be wearing a red jacket or windbreaker and red shoes. This way, you'll be able to quickly identify us upon arrival and begin the tour without any problems.

Description

Discover San Juan, Argentina, walking through its history, culture, and surprising details on this Free Walking Tour.

We'll start at the Bicentennial Theater , a symbol of the city's cultural identity, and continue to the San Martín Station Cultural Center , where we'll explore local creativity and art. We'll pass by the Civic Center and the Franklin Rawson Provincial Museum of Fine Arts , enjoying its architecture and exhibits.

Our tour will continue to the Aldo Cantoni Stadium and the Parque de Mayo Velodrome Grandstand , two icons where the sporting passion of the people of San Juan beats. Afterward, we'll stop at the imposing Juan Victoria Auditorium and visit the Don Julio Museum , with its olive oils and warm traditional warehouse. The next stop will be the Sarmiento Birthplace , a place full of history and memory that preserves the essence of one of the country's most important figures. Later, we'll take a brief break at a local wine shop to discover San Juan's winemaking tradition firsthand and, responsibly, taste small sips of the wine that gives the region its identity. Finally, we'll visit the San Juan Bautista Cathedral , with its majestic bell tower , and conclude the tour at Plaza 25 de Mayo , a vibrant space that reflects the city's daily life and pulse.
