Description
We start at **Ahmad Ibn Tulun Mosque** – one from **oldest mosques** in Egypt and Africa’s (from the early Islamic period). See its huge open courtyard and climb its minaret for great views!
Next, visit the **Gayer-Anderson Museum** next door. It’s a historic house full of unique art and treasures from Islamic and other cultures.
Then, walk through Old Cairo’s streets, past traditional houses and different Islamic architecture to visit two famous mosques:
**Sultan Hassan Mosque & School** (from Mamluks period and is considered a great mosque from this period)
**Al-Rifa'i Mosque** (from modern Islamic times and has a grave yard of Mohamed Ali family)
