Discover Guangzhou’s rich culture in this engaging 3.5 to 4-hour walking tour.
Begin at Qingping Medicine Market, where traditional herbs and remedies create a vibrant sensory experience. Then stroll to Shamian Island, known for its colonial architecture and peaceful avenues.
Next, take a short metro ride to Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, an exquisite example of Lingnan craftsmanship (CNY 10 entrance fee).
From there, visit Guangxiao Temple (CNY 5), one of Guangzhou’s oldest Buddhist temples, followed by the nearby Six Banyan Trees Temple, famous for its iconic pagoda and serene gardens.
Finish the tour with a refreshing stop at a local dessert or herbal tea shop.
