My name is San. I have been living in Japan for the past 15 years, with nearly 11 of those years in Hiroshima. I have a deep love for Japanese culture and history. For the past three years, I have been working as a professional guide—a role that is not just my profession, but also my passion. I truly enjoy meeting new people and sharing my experiences with them.

Description

Join me on an unforgettable journey to Miyajima, one of Japan’s most sacred and picturesque islands, guided by someone who has called Hiroshima home for over 11 years. This isn’t just a tour—it’s a personal invitation to experience the island’s spiritual beauty, rich history, and local flavors through the eyes of someone who knows and loves this region deeply.

We’ll begin with the awe-inspiring Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its floating torii gate. As we explore the shrine and its surrounding sacred grounds, I’ll share stories and cultural insights that you won’t find in guidebooks. We’ll stroll along charming streets filled with traditional shops and taste local sweets, including Hiroshima’s beloved momiji manju.

We’ll also visit Daisho-in Temple, a peaceful and often overlooked gem nestled in the forested foothills of Mount Misen. For those who love scenic views, we’ll take a relaxing walk along the coast or through the maple tree-lined paths, depending on the season.

Because I live here, I can show you hidden corners and local traditions that most visitors miss—giving you a deeper, more personal connection to this beautiful island.
