Hi everyone! My name is Kasia — it’s so nice to meet you! Before we begin the tour, I’d love to say a few words about myself. I’m originally from Poland, born and raised here in Kraków. In 2008, I moved to London, where I spent most of my time working in tourism-related fields — gastronomy, hospitality, and even a museum. In 2018, I graduated from Middlesex University in London with a degree in International Tourism Management, and I was proud to receive the award for best performance in my year. While studying, I came across the idea of free walking tours, and I absolutely loved it. Even back then, I had the dream of becoming a tour guide — my tutors and friends often said I had a natural way with people and loved sharing stories. Still, I chose to build a career in the hotel industry first. Tourism and connecting with travelers have always been close to my heart. That’s one of the reasons I spent so much time abroad — to learn languages, explore cultures, and meet people from all over the world. I also love to travel myself. At one point, I lived in Spain — near Barcelona — in a town called Sant Cugat del Vallès, where I worked in the automotive industry for about seven months. A few months ago, I moved back to Poland — and I was amazed by how much has changed and how fast the country is growing. I started reading more, exploring my surroundings, and even joined some history classes. Kazimierz has always been a special place for me — I loved coming here for a morning coffee or popping into the Old Synagogue museum to discover more about Jewish culture and traditions. After taking part in so many free walking tours myself — not only here in Kraków, but all around the world — I finally decided it’s time to be on the other side, as a guide. That’s why I created this tour: “Jewish Essentials 3in1” — all about Jewish culture and the most important attractions connected to it here in Kraków. This is a donation-based tour. Any money you decide to give will help support my ongoing education.
