Riki

Hi! I’m Riki Yokoyama, a passionate traveler and storyteller. I’ve hitchhiked across both Japan and South America, and I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures along the way. I’m currently living in Nagasaki, where I plan to stay for a year before embarking on a road trip around Japan with my girlfriend. We’re building our own car this year, and next year, we’ll set off on our adventure! This tour isn’t just about sightseeing. It’s about connecting with you, sharing stories, and exploring the hidden beauty of Nagasaki together. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or new to exploring, I want to give you an authentic and personal experience. I speak both English and Japanese, and I’m excited to meet fellow travelers and share my love for this incredible city with you. Let’s make some memories together!

Pickup

We will meet in front of the main entrance of Nagasaki Station. I will be easy to spot — I’ll be wearing a camera around my neck and carrying a red backpack. You’ll also see me holding a small “GuruWalk” sign with my name on it.

Description

Are you ready to discover a different side of Nagasaki — one that most tourists never see?

Join me on a unique walking adventure through the quiet backstreets and charming hidden corners of Nagasaki. I’m not a history professor, nor a local born-and-raised — I’m a traveler, like you. I’ve visited 29 countries, hitchhiked across Japan and South America, and now I’m here in Nagasaki for a year, exploring its quiet beauty one step at a time. Let me show you the places that speak to the traveler’s soul — the peaceful paths, the curious stories, and the moments that make us feel truly connected.

We’ll start near Nagasaki Station and wander through lesser-known neighborhoods, visit cozy back alleys filled with small shrines, funky local cafes, and beautiful views of the hills and harbor. Along the way, I’ll share travel stories and cultural observations — and if you’re into photography, I’ll help capture some great shots of you at unexpected, picturesque spots!

This tour is not about ticking off famous landmarks. It’s about slowing down, noticing the small things, and hearing stories you won’t find in guidebooks. We’ll end at a quiet hilltop park with a panoramic view of the city — a perfect place to reflect and take in the beauty of Nagasaki from above.

If you're someone who loves to travel deeply, connect with locals, and see places through fresh eyes, this is the tour for you. Book now and let’s explore Nagasaki in a way that feels personal, peaceful, and real.
