The Edinburgh Street Historians is a collection of tour guides with a real and abiding connection to the city we call home. Most of us are local, our founder was born in the city and has a birthplace visible from the tour, an everyone else has been a guide for at least 3 years. This is to ensure we are a group of the most talented and experienced guides available on free tours, to ensure top quality and genuine commitment to the task.

This is a walking tour of Edinburgh's historic, fabulous Old Town.
With the unassailable facts and wit gained from years of experience, you'll see the city streets which created the modern world, hear about the inspiring people that wrote great literature, and you'll experience the energy of the city from a local Edinburgh guide. On occasion a guide so local their birthplace is visible from the tour.

Special accommodations can be made to those with mobility requirements though it can be difficult in a city with as many stairs and hills as Edinburgh.
