Edinburgh Walk Tour - Royal Mile & Grassmarket
Hiya! This is Archie. I have been living in Edinburgh since 2022. I work as a campaigner and independent tour guide. I love rambling around cities, exploring visible and invisible boundaries existing on streets, walls, buildings or corners. I love English, Scottish and Northern Irish history, especially history of the British Royals and history of The Troubles. My other hobbies include listening to music, reading, writing and collecting interesting items. I am a backpacker and I've travelled to 40+ cities/places around the world. I speak Mandarin and English. I have a cat named Arya.
Pickup
I will be at the Witches' Well by the due time, with a green jacket and a funny black & orange magic hat.
Description
Edinburgh Walk Tour - Royal Mile & Grassmarket (English/Mandarin)
Are you interested in the history of witchhunting in Presbyterian Scotland? Do you want to have the experience of pacing through a 500-year-old close? And do you want to learn about the origin of names of streets and sites in the Old Town of Edinburgh?
If your answer is 'yes', please join our walking tour. In this tour, I will lead you through two historical parts of Edinburgh, the Royal Mile and Grassmarket. I will let you know that Scotland is more than pipes, kilts, whisky and haggis and Scottish history is much more than Robert Bruce and William Wallace.
