After a brief introduction, we will take a walk to Plaza de San Jaime, where we will see the Christmas tree and the most famous nativity scene in Barcelona , which changes every year. This nativity scene is placed in the centre of the esplanade between the City Hall and the headquarters of the Generalitat.
Next, we will head to the Fira de Santa Llúcia , where we will visit the stalls of the oldest Christmas market in Barcelona. From there, we will go to different shops in the area, where you can find a wide variety of gifts and Christmas decorations. We will also walk along Petritxol Street , where we will learn about the tradition of Barcelona's Christmas sweets.
As expected, during the tour we will talk about the typical gastronomy of Christmas . In addition to the traditional nougats and polvorones, in Catalonia you cannot miss cava and escudella i carn d'olla. After talking about the traditional food of these dates, we will go to Paseo de Gràcia to contemplate the most beautiful Christmas lights in Barcelona.
We will see the Christmas decorations of Casa Batlló from the outside, a beautiful work by Gaudí that looks more beautiful than ever at this time of year.
