Description

Discover the highlights of Augsburg on a guided walking tour. See the city's most important landmarks, including the Rathausplatz, Perlach Tower, and Augsburg Cathedral, and learn about the city's history and culture.

We start our tour at the Rathausplatz, the heart of Augsburg. Admire the impressive Augsburg Town Hall, a Renaissance masterpiece designed by Elias Holl, with its famous "Goldener Saal". Nearby, you'll spot the Perlach Tower, a former watchtower offering panoramic views of the city.

From here, we walk to the Fugger Square to explore the history of Europes most powerful merchant families.

We continue on to "little Venice", a picturesque district with charming canals reminiscent of Venice.

Your next stop is the Brechthaus, the birthplace of playwright Bertolt Brecht, which now serves as a museum honoring his life and works.

Next, head to the Leopold Mozart Haus, where Leopold Mozart, father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, was born. It’s now a museum showcasing the musical history of the Mozart family.

Finally we make your way to the majestic Augsburg Cathedral (Dom), featuring Romanesque and Gothic elements. Inside, don’t miss the 12th-century stained glass windows and the detailed bronze door.
