Hi! I'm Rudy. My father, grandfather, and even great grandfather worked in the harbors of Rotterdam. Some of my family members were shippers, others worked in shipbuilding and factories. I grew up in the small towns around Rotterdam (near the windmills), and lived in Rotterdam, where I studied film at the Art Academy. After that, I worked and lived in Japan for over 15 years, creating photos and videos for the Japanese travel agencies. A few years ago, I moved back to Rotterdam. Now I can see the city through both local and foreign eyes. Doing guided walks is a great way for me to reconnect with my roots, and have meaningful connections with people from all over the world!

I will be at the square in front of the St. Lawrence Church, near the Erasmus statue, with a red (folding( umbrella. You can call me "Rudy"! :)

Description

Experience an interesting, beautiful, and fun walking tour of Rotterdam.

Picture walking through beautiful old harbours, gazing at the craziest modern architecture, and connecting with a local guide who explains how it all came to be, and why Rotterdam is a city like no other!

I personally created this walk based on where I take my friends from abroad. You will see the coolest sights, like the Markthal, Museum Depot, Erasmus Bridge, and Cube Houses. And you will also see some good streets to eat and drink.

I’ll tell you fascinating stories about the places we visit, without turning your day into a dry history lesson!

You’ll start at the hearth of Rotterdam, at the Lawrence Church, and finish at the amazing Depot building, from where I'd be happy to advice you on the rest of your day(s) in Rotterdam after the tour!

So, are you ready for the most beautiful morning in the unique city of Rotterdam?
