Bonjour, Hello, Hola! Welcome to Bordeaux, the pearl of Aquitaine. We're delighted to meet you and to have the opportunity to show you our beautiful city. We are a group of French and Argentine guides who have combined their love of travel, meeting people, languages, photography, art and wine to create this tour. We fell in love with Bordeaux many years ago, which is why our mission is to share it with you today, in the hope that you'll fall in love with it too during your stay. Our tours are filled with history, art, architecture, anecdotes, legends, current events and Bordeaux life. We promise to deliver this original mix in a fun, interactive and entertaining way. As locals, we'll be sharing lots of recommendations on things to do and see, places to visit, vineyards, markets, restaurants, wine bars and much more. Didn't we mention what you're looking for? Feel free to ask your guide during the tour! Don't worry, we won't take you into stores or businesses to try and sell you something. We don't appreciate that when we're traveling ourselves, so rest assured that all our recommendations are totally disinterested. We look forward to having you with us!

Hi! I will be waiting for you next to/close to the entrance door of the Cathedral. I'll be holding a green umbrella.

Description

Join us to explore Bordeaux on a two-hour walking tour.

We'll start our journey at Place Pey Berland, one of the liveliest squares.

Ready to learn about our history? We'll travel back in time 2,300 years ago, where you will discover the origins and the changes the city has undergone throughout history.

Then, we will start our walk to the city center, discovering our popular squares like Place Saint Projet. We will be showing you hidden buildings and ruins that are easy to miss in plain sight.

We will leave behind the modern Bordeaux, to enter the medieval part with its narrow streets and see some of the oldest houses that are still standing.

In Saint Pierre district, you will hear about Bordeaux’s 12th-century port, the Second World War and its impact on the city.

Next, arrive at Place de la Bourse, the most famous building in Bordeaux. Here, you will learn about trade, commerce and the wine business.

See the oasis-like water mirror in front of you? The most photographed part of the city deserves a souvenir photo from you!

Enter the Triangle d’Or district, where you will hear the reason of its name, who lived here and many more legends.

Our tour will finish at Place de la ComĂ©die, after learning about the square and the astonishing Grand Théâtre.

Bonus +++: Our recommendations on where to eat, wine bars, markets to visit, bakeries, things to do, etc.

Don’t hesitate, we are waiting for you. This is your Bordeaux free walking tour!
