Hi, my name is Lucas, I am a tour guide since 2010, worked in more than 20 countries. Based in Bangkok - or Manila, Phnom Penh, Montréal, Kathmandu - I follow the current of the guiding ! I am doing those walking tour now, trying to share my knowledge with first time visitors. As I am doing this without salary, tip is well appreciated, Guru guidelines suggest min 10€ or 300 Bath. I can answer all questions and show you some hidden / out of the beaten path places. If you want to see and do tourist stuff like floating market, my walks are not for you. I like to show you the normal life that is going on here in Bangkok, while I will help you with local transportation and others places to visit. With me you are walking to see things of the daily life, to feel the vibe as the local way. If you just want to know about tourist stuff, its easy by your own. With me its more about to learn/walk as the Bangkonian style.

Pickup

We meet at 511 Cafe, Rong Muang street, opposite Hua Lamphong train station. Its a good place for food/drink, I will be there inside. I have many tattoos, easy to spot !

Description

Let discover one of the biggest market in South-East Asia in Khlong Toei, Bangkok !
We will first start our journey by experiencing the Metro (MRT Hua Lamphong will cost 30 Bath), to arrive near the market. We will first cross the impressive FYI Center to continue our way through the small alleys of the market. Here, we stroll along the fruits, the vegetables, the seafood, the clothes and more !
We are here mainly to admire and to take pictures.
As local people are constantly working and going around, we can not make stops all the time along the stalls. We will stop and discuss about what we see later on.
After our time in the market, we will cross a huge intersection to end up in the modern PARQ building for some refreshment and toilet stop.
This walk is for the MARKET LOVERS. You can also going back to the market after our walk, as we finish just near by, at the Queen Sirikit Metro station.
We do not visit any temple or shrine or touristy stuff here. Its really a market walk, and also to learn about the daily life that is going on here in Bangkok.
