🚩 Guidance to the Meeting Point — Vyšehrad Metro Station 🏰 To make sure we start our adventure on time, please arrive at the meeting point by 1:50 PM. We’ll meet outside Vyšehrad Metro Station (Line C — Red Line) at the main exit. 🚶‍♂️ How to Find Us at Vyšehrad 1️⃣ Take Metro Line C (Red Line) and get off at Vyšehrad Station. 2️⃣ Follow signs to the main exit (there’s only one). 3️⃣ Exit the station — your guide will be waiting just outside the main entrance, near the small square. 🚇 Getting There by Public Transport By metro: Take Line C (Red Line) directly to Vyšehrad Station. By tram: There’s no direct tram stop at Vyšehrad Station, so the metro is the easiest option. On foot: From I.P. Pavlova or Nusle, it’s about a 10–15 minute walk uphill. --- ⏳ Be on time! We will depart at 2:00 PM sharp, so please arrive at least 10 minutes early to make sure we can begin our hidden epic walk without delays. A Journey Through Prague's Myths, Magic & Scenic Beauty

🕘 Walk Details:

  • Start: 2 pm, Vyšehrad Metro Station (Red Line C)
  • Duration: 4 hours (8–9 km)
  • End: Letná Park, near the Metronome
  • Difficulty: Moderate (city walking with some gentle uphill paths)


🌟 Itinerary & Highlights:


1. Vyšehrad: The Mythical Birthplace of Prague 🏰

Meet your guide outside Vyšehrad Metro Station at 2 pm

Ascend to the ancient Vyšehrad fortress, where Princess Libuše, the legendary Czech seer, once stood. Legend says she gazed over the Vltava River and prophesied: "I see a great city, whose glory will touch the stars."
Visit Libuše’s Bath, a rocky outcrop overlooking the river, and explore the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul.
Pause at Vyšehrad Cemetery, resting place of Czech cultural icons like Antonín Dvořák and Alphonse Mucha.

2. Descent to the Vltava River 🌊

Follow the scenic path down to the riverbank, passing the ancient Vyšehrad walls.
Enjoy panoramic views of Prague Castle, bridges, and spires along the way.

3. Národní Divadlo (National Theatre): A Symbol of Czech Pride 🎭

Walk along the riverside to the golden-crowned National Theatre, a monument to Czech resilience and cultural revival.


4. Kampa Island: Prague's Venice 🏝️

Cross Legion Bridge to peaceful Kampa Island, with its charming canals and historic water mills.
Keep an eye out for Prague's famous Vodník, the mischievous water sprite said to haunt the riverbanks!

5. Malá Strana Gardens & Charles Bridge 🌿🌉

Stroll through the lush gardens of Malá Strana (Lesser Town), tucked away behind baroque palaces.


7. Letná Park & the Metronome 🌅

Climb the hill to Letná Park, a perfect place to reflect on the journey.
Stand by the giant Metronome, which replaced a massive Stalin monument, symbolizing the passage of time and change.
Enjoy breathtaking views of the entire city—an epic ending to an epic walk!
