Marco

Hi! My name is Marco. I work as a teacher and a tour guide. I spend many years living, studying and working in Halle (Saale). However, in 2023 I moved to Leipzig and I have been living here ever since. Therefore I know both cities very well, and I still call both of them my home. I'll be happy to show you one of these two cities or even both!

We meet in front of Café Ludwig. You will recognize me by my red umbrella.

Description

Discover the everyday life and history of the city of Leipzig with me! Our two-and-a-half-hour tour begins in the entrance hall of Leipzig Central Station. From there we make our way to the historic center of the city. Here we get to know some of the most historically significant places such as St. Nicholas Church, Speck's Höfe, Auerbachs Keller, St. Thomas Church and a few more. Historically, our tour covers a period from the 12th century to the present day.

On our tour you will not only learn everything possible about the history of the individual sights and the city of Leipzig as a whole, but we will also take a look at the role the various places play in the everyday life of Leipzig's residents.
