Description

Simon Bolivar liberated La Gran Colombia on August 7th, 1819 and chose Santa Fe de Bogotá as its capital. The Candelaria neighborhood witnessed multiple stories lived by the Liberator, in addition to keeping anecdotes that come from pre-columbian America, the Conquest, Colony and the current Republic.

Starting in the Plaza Mayor, next to the statue of Bolivar, we will cross the most iconic sites of the streets of La Candelaria (Palacio de San Carlos, Manzana Cultural, Chorro de Quevedo, Mercado de la Concordia, Iglesia de las Aguas and Puente de San Francisco), ending at Quinta de Bolivar at the foot of Monserrate.

Ours is a historical-cultural tour that goes through all these eras and invites you to learn more about this beautiful city.
