"Through interpretation, understanding; through understanding, appreciation; through appreciation, protection." -Freeman Tilden. My name is Maria, I am an official guide of the Canary Islands and a tourist guide. My goal is that the best memory you take home is a connection with the place you visit, so I will show you places that will help you get to know this strong and adventurous island a little better. Come, participate and enjoy!!!
Pickup
You will find me on the beach, next to the public toilets between the Cuevas de Ajuy and La Jaula de Oro restaurants. You will be able to recognise me by the guide card that I will have visible.
Description
The visit focuses on the path to the Ajuy caves , which runs along where the seabed used to be.
The stones along the road tell how Fuerteventura was born, grew and its population survived thanks to them.
On this tour you will discover some of the secrets hidden in the oldest stones in the Canary Islands.
