So, I'm hoping to show you my hometown, and seduce you to come and return, because it is small, but it has so much history and beauty places to enjoy. On this tour I will try to show you the main points in the town: Main square (Praça da Republica), the synagogue, the church of St. Francis of Sissi´s, the match box museum, the church of st maria, the church of st iria, and even the gardens (Mouchão and 7 hill garden)... and if you really like to walk, we can climb together to another church (N. Description
A small middle aged village on the center of Portugal, near by the highway to Lisbon, Oporto or Coimbra, even my hometown - Tomar (where you should at least visit the Convent of Christ), and only a 15km distance from the biggest santuary of Portugal - FÁTIMA.
Inside the Middle aged fortress we will find not only one of the most beautiful castles in Portugal, but find the first prision, cemitery (etc) that nowadays take place on the new town, down the hill.
Here you can also find a middle aged restaurant (UCHARIA DO CONDE) and drink (if you are not driving) the traditional portuguese «ginginha», or you can stay here too (on the first public hospital from the XVIth century that nowadays is a guesthouse - POUSADA DE OUREM)
