I'm a 6th generation son born in the Bokaap. Our community are decendants of slaves and political exiles from the far east as a registered guide in Cape town I offer walking tours in the citybowl and bokaap sharing our communities history and culture with the world I'd love to show you around our neighborhood. I have a strong connection to the broader community. I'm a director of the bokaap tourism association and a director of Bokaap helpers garden. which is a NPO in the city focusing on community gardening. Have an intimate knowledge of Robben Island as a lived there for over 10 years too.

Experience our walking tour with a twist. After visiting significant sites like the museum, auwal mosque (oldest in the country) and perhaps the spice shop along the tour End off in the community garden and indulge in the company of Aunty Abieda and Experience some of the iconic traditional cape Malay treats at a cost of R200p/p. The community garden hosts and facilitates many community based initiatives like the annual seniors gathering and lunch. Seed swop events and charitable donations of any harvest.PROCEEDS from tour are also directly paid to the garden as a means of self sustainability.
