Hello! My name is Michel. I’m a french retired travel agent, and I’ve been fortunate to visit many wonderful places around the world. Back in my time, the idea of a free walking tour didn’t exist, so I found this concept very interesting. I’ve tried it in New York, Venice, and Ljubljana — and wow, the tours were absolutely amazing! I live in a lovely city just 10 minutes by train from Paris Gare du Nord. A one-way ticket from Paris costs only €2.50, metro included. My city is quite unique: it’s the only one near Paris with a lake, thermal baths, a casino, and a racecourse. Its architecture is a beautiful blend of Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles. The city is also famous for Mistinguett, Amélie Poulain, and Henri Moreels, a visionary architect who left a lasting mark on the town. I decided to create this tour to share my wonderful hometown — a real breath of fresh air just outside Paris. I had the chance to live for one year in the USA and six months in Australia, so I’m fluent in English. Spanish is another gift, thanks to my Peruvian wife. I’m passionate about history and love meeting people from all over the world. Helping visitors discover my beloved city, French culture, and the art of living here — that’s truly my motto.
Pickup
I’ll be waiting on the front porch of the train station, on Rue du Départ, right next to the platform for trains departing back to Paris. Trains arriving from Gare du Nord stop on the opposite platform. To reach me, you can either take the underground passage or cross the small bridge that connects both sides of the station.

10 short minutes by train from Paris Gare du Nord platform 34 or 35, train ticket 2.5 from anywhre in Paris or around, Enghien les Bains is part of Grand Paris and the only city owning a casino and a lake. Enghien is a small city with an original architecture.
The tour will take you from the train station to the Thermal baths passing through original buildings, a park with a spectacular circular view of the magnificent lake, the casino, the synagogue and the church.
