Description
Follow the modern day history of Tiberias as it was shaped by waves of immigrants arriving following the establishment of the state of Israel. See how this little peripheral town grew from the shores of the Sea of Galilee, 200 meters below sea level, climbing up to the top of the ridge. You’ll hear of the challenges, successes and failures of settling newly arrived immigrants and refugees through the decades to present day and how this has shaped buildings and architecture as well as the social fabric. On the way we’ll enjoy the fabulous panoramic view of the lake and the Golan Heights.
This is a driven tour in your own car. We’ll be stopping at various points and locations on our route. You’ll need to leave one place in the car for me as your guide.
