Description
We will make a walking tour in Lapa - most bohemian neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro.
We will begin in Cinelandia telling a bit about the history of the square, the Municipal Theater, the Nacional Library, etc.
We will walk towards Lapa through the beautiful Teatro Riachuelo, stop in front of Cecilia Meireles's room and talk a little bit about the work and life of this famous poetess, then we will go to Selarón steps, built by artist Jorge Selarón, famous for containing over 200 steps with more than 2,000 tiles from over 60 countries. Let's go up the stairs and learn about the life of its constructor.
Continuing we will make a stop in front of the famous Arcos da Lapa for photos and finish our tour entering the modern Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro.
