Uncovering the best of Frankfurt-Höchst: A trail through its History, Culture, and Charm
As a seasoned walking tour host for 8 years now, I share a passion for discovering new cities and connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds. With this, I bring a unique perspective to each of my tours beyond just history. I have enjoyed working with embassies and institutes in curating custom tours on request. Originally hailing from South India, I have spent 4 years calling Frankfurt my home, while immersing myself in the local culture and exploring the surrounding areas. My tours are shaped around the things that excite me the most about these cities. I have travelled to more that 35 cities in and around Germany where I have had the pleasure of interacting with fellow walking tour hosts, exchanging ideas and learning from their experiences. As for me, I am an artist and urban researcher constantly seeking out new and innovative ways to explore the public realm and share its beauty with others. Since 2017, I have also curated my own heritage walks and inclusive art trails, bringing a personalized touch to each tour and ensuring that every guest feels engaged and inspired. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-time visitor, I am excited to share my love for cities with you on your next walking tour adventure.

Description
Welcome to Frankfurt-Höchst, one of the city's most historic neighborhoods, on our walking tour.
This tour is done only on request, and I would ask you to leave a message incase you are interested in this trail. You could reach out at @anchoredhues_ on Instagram or via this platform.
We will start our tour at Höchst Bahnhof, the local train station, and proceed to the charming market square where we will view the historic Rathaus (town hall) and the Höchster Schloss (Höchst Castle), a stunning Renaissance-style building that was built in the 14th century.
From there, we'll stroll through the Altstadt's lovely, winding lanes and see the antique Fachwerkhäuser (half-timbered homes) that line them. We'll also go to the Bolongaropalast (Bolongaro Palace), a baroque structure that was constructed in the 18th century for an Italian merchant family and now serves as the Höchst section of the Frankfurt City Museum.
The spectacular Höchst Industrial Park, one of the biggest industrial complexes in Europe, will be our next stop. It is located close to the riverbank. Our excursion will end at the Höchster Mainufer, where we may enjoy the calm surroundings and breathtaking views of the Main River.
You can decide to continue your tour independently or visit the various nearby eateries and cafés.
Join us for a walking tour of the city's lesser known Höchst and learn about the area's interesting history, stunning architecture, and thriving culture.
