Discovering the secrets of Garbage City and St Simon's monastery
I was born and raised in “Garbage City” in Cairo, and I am a professional photographer. I work inside the Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner (also known as the Cave Church) as a photographer and editor (video and photos) for visitors at the Mario High Ropes Center. In addition, I organize tours inside Garbage City near the monastery, offering unique experiences such as visiting a pigeon tower, a recycling center, a plastic factory, and sharing the unique story of its inhabitants—most of whom are Christians from Upper Egypt like myself. Please note that the tour is not free, and the price is arranged via WhatsApp. Reserve your spot (at least a day before the desired date) on WhatsApp: +201001752498
