Description
After the industrial revolutions , the Western world experienced rapid changes. Great Britain was the power par excellence, making its factories creak all over the planet. Meanwhile, an underworld of marginality and inequality emerged at the pace of progress. In cold Ireland, the working classes fled from famine, embarking on distant America or nearby England , in search of a better life, while others stayed to resist crisis , revolution and war in a context where Organized crime constituted true empires of blood .
Join us on a tour to learn about the origins of the Irish mafia and its influence around the world. We will reconstruct little-known stories among the iconic alleys of old Victorian brothels and follow in the footsteps of criminals such as Billy Kimber , the great leader of the Peaky Blinders , his stay in Dublin and the links of the famous Birmingham gang with the IRA , the Rebellion and the independence.
