Hello, I'm Pedro and I'm a PT tour guide since 2019. I have a degree in Translation but travelling has always been my passion. I’ve developed this tour by combining not only the touristic side of the city but also by adding a more realistic perspective of Porto. So, let me show you why I love my city, the pleasure would be ours.

Okay, let’s go!

I’ve made this tour by combining not only the tourist side of the city but also by adding a more realistic perspective of Porto - so let me show you why I love my city, it would be our pleasure, I'm sure!

Buckle up: you are about to get to know a very old town which is older than the country itself. And the best way to explore this city is to go around it on foot. The old town of Porto can be a true maze for beginners, and that's why want to guide you to that you can feel the vibe of the old charming districts. This is the true definition of “slow travel”.

We will start this tour right in front of  one of the many landmarks of this city: the "Lion's Square" ("Praça dos Leões", officially named Praça de Gomes Teixeira).

From here, we're going to the most visited building in the old town: the Lello/”Harry Potter” bookshop. I will explain why almost everybody falls in love with this fabulous building and why it is the most Instagram-able hotpot in the city.

From here, we’ll walk by other city landmarks (the St. Bento station, the Twin Churches, the old market, the Cathedral, etc.), the numerous quiet side lanes, lookout spots, and peek into small streets where sometimes smells like cod or tripes – oh yes. You read it well; also let's find out more about the local cafes and shops attended by the locals. (like the Majestic or A Brasileira)

To wrap it up: I want you to enjoy the city through the eyes of a Portuense (a Porto local).

We will finish the tour in the neighbouring city of Gaia, crossing the centenary Luis Bridge to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the city from the lookout of the Serra do Pilar monastery.
