Description
You prefer to know new places on your own. Just let us walk you through the main sites and give you useful insights of the city so you can enjoy it more.
Meet new people and our guide at Plaza de la Aduna (Next to the Townhall) and let him show you what the Walled City and Getsemani have hidden away. This free walking tour in Cartagena is available in English and Spanish and you will find one of our guides holding the black umbrella at the meeting point.
You will start strolling around the colonial and colorful houses as you know more about the main squares and bastions that traced our path to independence. Visit Santo Domingo’s square and church, the Cathedral of Santa Catalina de Alejandria (Saint Catherine of Alexandria) among others of great cultural importance.
Afterward, you will be headed to the Getsemani neighborhood, known for having a bohemian spirit. Its streets and alleys boast colors and the lively, friendly, and charismatic spirit of locals who gather outside their houses and welcome everyone who walks by. Stroll around picturesque pieces of street art paintings along some of the most important streets Calle de la Sierpe, Calle San Juan, Calle de la Media Luna, Calle Larga, among others. You’ll get to see some of the best graffiti authors.
Of course, this wouldn’t be the perfect tour without tasting Colombia’s flavors so you will have typical Colombian sweets and exotic fruit juice.
We know you will end up wanting to discover more of Cartagena, our “heroic” city: a city that welcomes everyone.
