Description

Zadar is a city where ancient architecture and modern art
combine.
Join me on a walk through beautiful Zadar and get to know its history over 3000 years old!

We start the tour at People Square, under a lovely clock tower on 16th century building, where the people of Zadar
have been meeting since the 12th century.

After that we'll stop at the ancient Forum and return more than
2000 years to the oldest part of the city - to the so called
"open-air museum".

At this place there is a large pre-Romanesque monument from
the 9th century - the church of St. Donat, which is made
entirely of the remains of ancient stone from a Roman temple.

Near the Forum is the Zadar Cathedral, the largest on the
Eastern Adriatic coast from the 12th century, dedicated to
St. Anastasia.

We will end the tour with the latest and unique installations
of Zadar - Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun.

The most important things you will see in this tour:

16th century City Walls (UNESCO protected)
Kalelarga main street
Church of St. Chrysogonus
Ancient Forum
Cathedral of St. Anastasia
Sea Organ
Greeting to the Sun
