The Vatican and Rome. 2000 years of history
I have been a licensed guide of Rome and its province since 2001 and for over 20 years I have been involved in illustrating the treasures of Rome with dedication and passion for cultural diffusion. In addition to a first degree in Political Science, I have a Bachelor's degree in Art History and a Master degree in Classical Archaeology. I love telling the history and art of Rome always trying to stimulate the attention and curiosity of the participants in my tours.

I will be at the right side of the central monument of Cavour square (looking at the Palace of Justice) with a sign reading "Vatican tour"
Description
A path particularly recommended for those interested in learning more about the history of the Vatican and its two-thousand-year relationship with Rome!
Why is St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican? When was it built? Why is the Vatican called this? What is the "Passetto"? The tour will allow you to answer these and many other questions, guiding you on an itinerary rich in charm and history.
Through an in-depth overview from the outside we will examine:
- Piazza Cavour (start of the tour)
- Castel Sant'Angelo
- Conciliation Street
- Borgo Passage
- Vatican Walls
- St. Peter's Square (end of tour)
At the end, on their own, participants will be able to visit the interior of St. Peter's Basilica and, if they wish, go to the Vatican Museums, the entrance of which is not far from the square.
So do not hesitate to discover together the Vatican, the beating heart of the Church of Rome, its history and its treasures!
