Artful Escape: A Journey into African Crafts
Hi, I’m Yoshua — I was once called Kelvin. “The earth was formless. Empty. Darkness covered everything. That was me. But then He said, ‘Let there be light.’ And there was light. I didn’t just read that verse — I became it.” After I got baptized, everything changed. I didn’t choose Jesus — He chose me. Since then, I’ve been walking in a new kind of light — and I love sharing that joy with everyone I meet. If you join one of my tours, you’ll notice two things right away: 1. I love people. 2. I love Tanzania — the culture, the stories, the everyday life. I don’t just guide you through streets and markets — I help you connect with real people, speak some Swahili, and experience the soul of this place. And if you're open, we might even talk about the deeper things in life too. Let’s make memories together.

Description
Where creativity flows from the mind to the hands, you'll meet over 200 talented artists passionately crafting traditional African sculptures and crafts. Marvel at the intricate carvings and vibrant paintings that beautifully depict the rich tapestry of African culture and history. I usually go there often since I'm a fan of cultural arts. I love the variety of crafting; it's a beautiful place to study and observe African culture, specifically Tanzanians.
The Market is like a treasure chest of culture and arts! If you're looking for wood crafts, paintings, African vitenge, vikoi, designed African tops, earrings, bangles, wall art, and traditional self-made art, this is the place to be!
The vendors are super friendly and always ready to help you find the coolest stuff. And remember, saying "Mambo" and "Asante" will totally earn you some smiles!
