I am a history teacher and tour guide from Zadar. I was born in Zadar on 14.8.1988. I have also lived on the island of Korčula and in Split. I graduated in 2017 with the thesis "Migration from Dalmatia from 1860 to 1918". I obtained the certificate in tourist guide for Zadar County in July 2020. I also work in web design, graphic design and 3d modeling. I often meet people on Couchsurfing and I like to travel. I am familiar with modern technologies and I am always open to share my knowledge about my city and country. I am doing tour guiding in Croatian and English language.

Discover the Historic Heart of Zadar – Walking Tour

Starting from the iconic Landgate, our journey will take us through the centuries, blending Zadar's fascinating past with its vibrant present. As we walk, I’ll share the unique stories behind each site, bringing to life both the rich history and the modern significance of these landmarks.

After a brief introduction to the city, we’ll delve into the fortification system of 16th-century Zadar, discussing in detail the construction and importance of the Landgate itself and the strategic significance of the Ponton and Forte Bastions.

Next, we’ll move to Five Wells Square, where you'll learn about the Captain’s Fort and the delightful Jelena Madije Park, a public garden established in 1830 by Baron von Welden. From there, we continue toward the old city entrance and make our way to the stunning Church of Saint Simeon,  where I’ll explain its architectural evolution and the intriguing political circumstances that led to the creation of the Chest of Saint Simeon.

As we wander further, we’ll pass by the historic Rector's Palace, leading us to the lively People’s Square, where the architecture tells the story of Zadar’s enduring importance. We’ll also explore the market area,  home to the remains of the Church of Santa Mary

The tour then winds toward the Church of Saint Grisogonus, one of the oldest in Zadar, before arriving at the Forum, the city’s ancient Roman center. Here, I’ll introduce you to two magnificent churches: St. Donatus and St. Mary's

We’ll end our historical exploration with a visit to either the majestic Cathedral of Saint Anastasia or the Church of Saint Francis, before wrapping up at the enchanting Sea Organ, where Zadar's past meets the present in a truly harmonious way.
