VoyAzores

If you have come this far ... nice to meet you !. My name is Teresa, I am a historian from Extremadura who, looking for my mission in life, came across the world of tourism a few years ago. The historian became a storyteller and made her work her greatest passion. 8 years ago, Lisbon became my home and its streets paralyzed in time, its aroma of coffee and cream cakes, its charming people and its magic made me fall in love. I want to tell you about its fascinating history, its most hidden secrets and its disturbing curiosities, but above all I want to make you feel Lisbon. Are you ready?

Description

In life, it's the stories that keep us truly alive, and not even the best Netflix series could beat the one on this earth.

Did you know that Azores could be the lost Atlantis? Would you like to discover the crucial role this land played in the World Wars? What if I told you that the only tea plantation in Europe is located on this island?

Nothing like a freetour through the Azorean capital to begin this adventure and learn to see this land with a perspective that goes far beyond what our eyes show us. Your journey starts here!

Our tour will begin at the Portas da Cidade, the emblem of the capital. We will walk along the boardwalk towards the fort that the soldier Álvaro de Bazán once crossed. We will continue to Campo de San Francisco, the largest square in Ponta Delgada, where we will talk about the earthquake that changed the history of the city.

We will arrive at amazing gardens with stories of poets, suicides and saudade. We will see the building that houses the Carlos Machado museum and we will walk through the picturesque streets of the capital of Micaelense. We will talk about the gastronomy of the Azores and we will finish at the spectacular Mother Church of Sao Sebastiao.
