Description
This fun and relaxed walking tour will introduce you to the cultural mix of the city of Dhaka along with a glimpse of the modern art and lifestyle of the city's inhabitants. The tour begins with a modern art exhibition and a short walk through the cultural center of the city Dhanmondi. You will discover how the city's inhabitants enjoy their free time and will have the opportunity to enjoy some local street food if you wish. The two and a half kilometer walking tour will include free entry and visiting some fascinating points of interest, including a modern art exhibition, Rabinda Sarobar (the famous open stage for art theatre), boating on the lake Dhanmondi (at your own cost), French Cultural Hub in Dhaka city, a local street market and many more. You may find the monkeys stealing biscuits from the tea stall if you are lucky and have many funny moments on this short walk. This tour will end at Dhaka College, from where you can take a local rickshaw (Tuk Tuk ride) if you wish. We will visit New Market, one of the oldest shopping areas in Dhaka, where I will help you understand how to bargain Bangladeshi style! You can also try the famous street food 'Dhakaiya' and take home a fabulous recipe to try at home!
