So, what are we going to see?
Free Tour of Belfast: Titanic, the Troubles & Hidden Gems
Welcome! We start at the iconic Belfast City Hall, where I’ll give a brief introduction to the city. We'll check out hidden details, like the missing piece on the City Hall and an unexpected addition to Queen Victoria!
Next, we’ll visit the Titanic Victims' Memorial. There’s more to the Titanic than we know—did you know they hid a fire aboard the ship? I’ll share some fascinating facts before we move on.
History, Murals & Rock Legends
We’ll pass the "In Your Face – Spring in Belfast" mural, symbolizing the city’s rebirth. At the Grand Central Hotel, I’ll reveal the city’s legendary animal symbol.
Then, we’ll visit the Ulster Hall, where Led Zeppelin played their famous song ''Stairway to Heaven''.
Afterward, we’ll stop at the Crown Liquor Saloon, opposite the Europa Hotel, known as the world’s most bombed hotel. Here, we’ll discuss the Troubles and Belfast’s transformation.
The New Belfast & Pub Culture
We’ll head to the Spirit of Belfast, a quirky art piece, and enjoy street music. Walking through a lively alley, we’ll explore the Cathedral Quarter—full of street art, pubs, and culture. We’ll also visit the Cathedral to see its Spire and giant Celtic Cross.
The Docks & The Big Fish
Our final stop is the Docks, where we’ll see the Albert Clock, Belfast’s own Big Ben. Along the River Lagan, we’ll find the Big Fish sculpture, symbolizing the Salmon of Knowledge. Legend says kissing it brings wisdom—let’s give it a try!
That’s the end of our tour! I’ll leave you with some final recommendations. Thanks for joining!
