Description
Join us on our Old Town Tour to enjoy the beautiful island of Gamla stan and understand why the Vikings chose this island to create their next capital. Our tour is designed chronologically so you can experience history just like the city did. We will start from the Viking Era, the German influence in the country and the Danish clash which led to the most important Swedish event: the Stockholm bloodbath in 1520 followed by the succession of Gustav Vasa.
On this tour, we’ll combine medieval history with a wide range of topics, from politics and general economics to recommendations for your visit. Want to discover the most important sights in Stockholm? Curious about the meaning of that beautiful red house in the square?
Your guide will take you on a beautiful walk, describing an overview of Swedish history and essential general information, offering you not only a deep dive into the city’s history but also, some insights of today’s life in the country.
The tour ends in Stortorget, by the Nobel Prize Museum.
There are limited spots, so please, book in advance! In case you come with a group of 6 or more, contact us for a private tour.
