Bucharest by Foot

Unbelievable Bucharest started as a family business, as we wanted to share our passion for the city, being born and raised here: an aunt and a nephew. Since then, a lot more guides joined us, all of them with the same love for the city. We like to tell stories, jokes, history, traditions and never forget that our tourists are actually our extended family!

Pickup

The guide will be next to Coltei Church, on Boulevard I C Bratianu with a bag marked Bucharest by Foot or a purple umbrella.

Description

We start in front of the Colțea Church (Biserica Colței), reveal its history and introduce our guests to the general history of Romania. Then we go to the kilometer 0 of Bucharest, not forgetting to tell the most interesting facts about it and about the building that is in his yard.
We continue our tour of Bucharest entering the Old Town, visiting the Capitoline Wolf and learning about the creation of the Romanian people. Then we can find out how the communist era affected the general appearance of Bucharest.
Our next stop is dedicated to describing all the most delicious Romanian dishes, including traditions and superstitions! What would a tour be without an inn that is over 200 years old and the oldest church still standing in the city? It's probably not that great, so we stop at Manuc's Inn and Saint Anthony's Church. We continue by telling the 100% true story of the ruler who inspired the legend of Dracula.
After discovering the amazing building that houses the National Bank of Romania, we enter the Macca Villacrosse passage, a beautiful quiet place in the morning that comes alive at night when the bars are full of people.
There are a few more stops that will light your imagination about the old Bucharest, the last stop being dedicated to the Parliament building, the creation of the famous dictator Nicolae Ceausescu.
Don't worry, our last stop is five minutes away from restaurants and bars, in case you want to grab lunch right after the tour!
