Our popular 8-day Classic Namibia Safari offers a journey through many of Namibia’s essential natural marvels. Namibia, often misconceived as solely a vast expanse of sand, holds a wealth of diverse attractions. Our itinerary begins with an exploration of the expansive Namib Desert, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, encompassing the renowned Sossusvlei, where some of the planet's tallest sand dunes reside. Next, we venture to the charming town of Swakopmund, where the desert merges with the Atlantic coast. Continuing our journey, we traverse the rugged and picturesque landscapes of Damaraland. Finally, we conclude our safari adventure in Etosha National Park, renowned as one of Africa’s premier wildlife viewing destinations, ensuring an unforgettable Namibian experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek to Sossusvlei

Welcome to Namibia! After arriving at Hosea Kutako International Airport outside the country’s capital city of Windhoek, you and your Nature Travel Namibia guide will take start the journey south to the iconic Namib Desert and Sossusvlei. 


Day 2: Sossusvlei to Swakopmund

After breakfast, the morning will be spent on an excursion to Dead vlei, Dune 45 and the Sesriem Canyon. Making your way west ward towards the coast, Swakopmund will be your home for the next two nights 

Day 3: Swakopmund

Swakopmund is known for its German historical influence and the adventure capital of Namibia. This morning you will embark on a living desert tour, or a trip to Sandwich harbour - where the dunes meets the ocean. Plenty of additional activities such as quad bike riding through the dunes, sand boarding, or kayak trip with the seals can be arrange. Tonight you will have a plethora of dining options in this quaint little German historic town. 

Day 4: Skeleton Coast and Damarland

After breakfast, we move onwards into what is famously known as the Skeleton Coast, scatted with ship wrecks, paying an optional visit to Cape Cross with one of the largest seal colonies in the world before moving inland to Damaraland where will will make way towards our lodge for the evening. This area is known for its outstanding geological features, such as pectrogliphs from the first inhabitants to room the area, to the petrified forest. Sundowners will be enjoyed at our lodge.  

Day 5: Etosha National Park

After breakfast, we will depart toward Etosha National Park,a four hour drive away. The scenery along the way is breathtaking and making time for photography stops along the way, we will arrive at our accommodation later afternoon. Tonight we will sit around the campfire reminiscing about the trip sp far. 

Day 6: Etosha National Park

We will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Etosha today, returning to our lodge in the heat of the day for lunch and to relax or for a quick swim in the pool. The wildlife in Etosha is staggering, with a chance to see four of the big five. 

Day 7: Etosha National Park

We will have another full day in Etosha for game viewing at waterholes, making our way east where we will lodge outside the park for our last evening together. 

Day 8: Depart for Windhoek

After an early morning game drive or a relaxing final breakfast together we will depart for Windhoek.  It is a 5 to 6-hour where you will either proceed to the airport for your homeward flight.. An additional night can be spent in Windhoek which we are happy to arrange.

In such instances, the client accepts the payment of such higher deposit and/or application of such higher cancellation fees.

What is cancellation policy?

Cancellation Policy: • If cancelled more than 60 days before intended departure date 50% of your deposit amount will be refunded. • If cancelled less than 60 days before intended departure date no refund will be possible. Please arrange for travel insurance to cover you against an unexpected cancellation. Travel Insurance: We highly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of paying a deposit. The policy should provide cover for loss of deposit, cancellation and additional expenses, medical expenses and repatriation and loss or damage to baggage and valuables. You are responsible for making any special or increased insurance arrangements which you deem are necessary.
